Chocolate Covered Cherry Smoothie

I love the combination of chocolate and cherries- and I love even more when they become a healthy meal option! This smoothie is packed with protein, healthy fats, and antioxidants- and is delicious!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use either grass-fed whey or vegan)
  • 1 cup frozen organic cherries
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • Sweetener of choice, to taste (I didn’t use any)

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Garnish and enjoy!

  1. Sounds like a great on-the-go type snack/drink. Have you ever substituted any other fruits in there instead of cherries? Also…love how you show the benefits of coconut oil and almond milk!! Those are two ingredients that I wish so many more people knew about!
